SThree Foundation New Partnership with GG

The shortfall of workers with STEM skills is estimated to be about 69,000 per year and 53% of employers expect difficulty in recruiting STEM skilled staff in the next three years. Generating Genius and the SThree Foundation are working together to ensure that young people with an interest in STEM are prepared for this future.

With over 30 years of experience as a global STEM recruitment specialist, SThree is ideally placed to monitor trends in the jobs market and help young people prepare for entry into the workplace. Together we will work with 50 years of 12 students for two years, to give them a realistic insight into the career opportunities in STEM. SThree has committed to providing career insight weeks through their client base, as well as workshops that will give advice on how to successfully transition to higher education and careers.

Alongside this, Generating Genius will also be offering opportunities for students to participate in academic masterclasses, tutoring, university visits, and STEM in Action days that will not only inspire and motivate students to continue to pursue STEM but also practically support them in achieving their ambitions.

Throughout the program we will also be addressing diversity within STEM: at least 60% of participants will be female in order to address the current lack of gender balance in the sector. Students on the program will also represent other groups that are traditionally underrepresented in STEM, including low-income families or from a family in which they would be the first generation to go to university.
