Alumni Genius is a network of young STEM talent who have graduated from the Uni Genius programme.

The Programme

Alumni Genius is aimed at University students and Graduates from African and Caribbean descent and those who were part of our Junior Genius programme, giving our students a leg-up into their STEM careers.

Students can join Alumni Genius from the 1st year of university with a renewable one-year membership. We support our students and recent graduates to become STEM leaders in industry. Through our 3 pillars: Careers equip, Inspire the society and Personal development, we shape our students to enter into the world of work, prepared, confident and assured. To allow as many students as possible to access our programme, we have 3 intakes: February, May and October.

Programme features

Join Alumni Genius with a renewable one-year membership from 1st year of Uni, all the way up to fresh graduates. During your one year membership, you will develop and mature into your chosen career path, whilst being exposed to the multitude of other STEM paths to ensure that you chose the perfect path for you. Through work experiences and internships, to events to boost your exposure to industry life, to support in applications, we help you reach your goals and become a STEM leader of the future

The summer work experiences at Google and Shell gave me great insight. Through Generating Genius, I developed what I consider my strongest soft skills to date.

Applicants must:

  • Be of Black African or Caribbean descent, from our Uni Genius Programme or our legacy Junior Genius Programme
  • Studying, or have studied a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths, including Economics (STEM) degree in a Russell Group University
  • Have studied at a non-selective state secondary school
  • Attended a non-fee paying sixth form or college
  •  Be on track to achieving a minimum 2:1 in that year of studies
